US Harper’s Bazaar September 2025 : Dua Lipa by Anthony Seklaoui

The light is brutal. Really hurts the eyes. And pieces aren't matching at all.

Such amateur-looking work. A shame because Dua Lipa is so photogenic.

Just skimmed through irl and some pretty good content hopefully someone can post digitals soon

Odd timing for Dua.
She should've been on the UK edition, and Mariah Carey should've taken this one for the US.

Dua's career has lost steam.

She was on July UK Vogue as her tour was scheduled in the UK (and Ireland) in the late June.
And she's starting her North American leg of the tour on 1 September - aligned with this edition.

Yes, Dua is still hot and everywhere.

The strategy of shared content between US/UK Bazaar is causing some rather mismatched cover stories.

Hot or not, the readers of UK Bazaar are not going to base their interests around the activities of Dua Lipa, unless it's making sure their kids get home safely after attending her show.

Flicking through the digital edition, it's showing as 248 pages, but there must be a lot of fold-outs, because the actual print page count seems to be 228 pages.

The Why Don't You...? section's guest columnist is Bob Mackie. There's a possible reprint of some of the Pamela Anderson cover story from a recent UK HB, but a lot of the content at the front seems original and the photography of accessories and even the layout of the pages is very... stylish. There's nothing childish here.

The Dua Lipa cover story (not stylish) is followed by an Icons series, but then there's a studio-shot fashion editorial TRUE TO FORM by Julien Martinez Leclerc with Mica Argañaraz, which is deceptively simple but very chic.

There's quite a big article about Dover Street Market stores, with some photography by Paolo Roversi, then another fashion editorial, LIVING COLOUR, shot by Vincent van de Wijngaard, in Mérida, with Bibi Breslin.

And another fashion editorial! SHAPE SHIFTING by Jody Rogac with model Noor K. Then it's a look at the art scene in Harlem, followed by another editorial, STATE OF PLAY, by Gwennaëlle Trannoy, with model Betsy Gaghan.

Anybody thinking that US Elle gave us the best September issue... a last-minute contender has entered into the competition for consideration.

I think both US Elle and US Harper's Bazaar are very strong this month in the fashion editorial department.

As always, Vincent van de Wijngaard's ed is the highlight of the issue. His work is my favorite thing about Samira's Bazaar.
