Why does everything have to look so lifeless?

One friend was her intern back in the day, and told me that she’s not a good person.

Interesting. (...Although interns are just legal child labourers LOL In this industry, good people are more the exception rather than the standard, sadly.)

For some reason, fashion attracts a many unscrupulous individuals: Genuine generosity and consideration are not the norm— only performative, opportunistic gestures Or maybe it’s this delusional self-importance that’s the mentality of high school mean girls that those in higher positions unfortunately possess and encouraged to (…why people treat designers— even models like gods, I’ll never understand…), that even those with some semblance of decency, will usually end up plagued with delusion of grandeur to some degree.

(And let’s not forget that not only does Samira orbit the rarified stratosphere of fashion for a long time now, but the even rarer one of Hollywood as well. And that arena almost makes the fashion industry look like a haven of genuine passion in comparison. Look what it did to Carine (can’t believe that this is the same woman that was once the creative visionary of Vogue Paris)… Even if she may not be a "good" person, it’s at least admirable Samira didn’t turn into some insufferable opportunist weaponizing politics with her platform.)

The sight of Malgosia is yet another reminder of why models are models. People have become accustomed to the utter mediocrity of what currently passes for modelling, and then someone like Gisele returns for two minutes, and blows everything else out of the water. People forget that modelling at the highest level isn't simply 'getting your picture taken', it's a special relationship between the person and the camera that cannot be reproduced by just anyone, and certainly not because of who your parents are.
