US Harper's Bazaar March 2009 : Sarah Jessica Parker By Peter Lindbergh

I saw the issue in stores, the cover is nothing like the one u will see in real life,
the pink u see on the cover is not light pink but a very striking neon pink, definitely very eye-catching:flower:

The eds featuring Cameron and Frankie are absolutely gorgeous  Thanks, ckgirlbr!

I love Marchesa's Moment!
Frankie's ed looks good too, I like setting and styling.

I will never ever understand fashions fascination with Sarah Jessica Parker.

So what if she appeared on a fashion-y show and was STYLED by a revered stylist?!

Frankly, it makes me sick to think of all the endorsements she's made out of her character on Sex and the City. In reality - Parker is neither as stylish or as interesting as Carrie Bradshaw.

It's a travesty to let this women continue exploiting others via perfumes, clothing lines and etc. Shame on you Harpers! :innocent:

amen

american mags bore me to death. all they do is present ONE label per page. that's why i love Vogue Paris, they/Carine take elements from all the labels and create a new look.

I like SJP because all her life, she's worked hard to sustain her career through screen acting, producing and theatre work, and that impresses me, in terms of the person she is. So she might have something interesting to say, in an interview, in contrast to celebrities with a few films to their name and not much more to offer other than their scandals.

And she wasn't a teenager when she was in SATC - I like the idea that someone who doesn't conform to strict definitions of beauty and youth can still be hailed as a fashion icon. Of course, there's a blurring of characters between SJP and Carrie in people's minds, but perhaps fashion's infatuation with her also has something to do with the way that SJP is an 'outsider' who's made it, against all the odds - this little quirky-looking woman who's willing to work her tiny *** off. None of it was handed to her, no family connections, no passport to fame via her face alone.

So I'll be happy to buy this issue (and maybe feel like an underachiever in contrast to the person on the front of it).

It's been said a million times but the subscribers really won out on this one. I really enjoy the Catherine McNeal edit for some strange reason.

what about Helena's ed? not HQs? well hopefully ill get it next week...

I have this issue but my printer is sh...;-))) If you don't mind scanning MissMagAddict I would be very thankful...;-) Maybe I can even bribe you with Karma or something;-)
