i know this thread might be the wrong place for this statement, but as i saw people complaining about carine roitfeld having lost her spark as a stylist here, i just give it:
i can totally feel what you mean when you say that.. beacause i think that there has never been any better choice for carine roitfeld than vogue paris!
i dont think she has changed as a stylist and i still think her work ist great, but it was that certain unconventional and controversial vibe of carine's styling, that as I think, only became really obvious and was so interesting because it was in Vogue, which is actually a very traditional and conventional as well as conservative magazine. with her own magazine now e.g., her styling doesnt come through enough anymore, as her new magazine just competes with every other fashion magazine out there and there are plenty following the same (or sometimes even more dramatic) styling as carine's. you're just not excited about carines contributions anymore as you were when she was at vogue paris, where every month you could expect something so different and so much more interesting to other vogue editions.
and concerning harper's bazaar, i somehow think that carine is just not able to really "spread her wings" because i suppose she has to follow the very sleek and conservative styling of HP. i alledge you will never see any of her famous "p*rn chic" editorials or some controversy anyways.
