I can remember Bazaar before Tilberis, throughout Tilberis, then for a few issues under Karin Upton Baker, before it was the turn of Kate Betts and her redesign - and I still can't imagine the magazine being anything other than what it has become.
I imagine this cover will be popular. It will sell. I'll probably buy it myself. But would any new editor be permitted to stray from the formula that's been 'good enough' for Hearst for a very long time, and to take risks with a new approach?
