I think its a cool cover,i like it.Its one of those covers you either like it the second you saw it or not.And strangley i like it,love that she has her top open like that,its refreshing to see her a bit daring,bored with frozen godess image they always put her in.
And that picture in white swimsuit,is amazing,she looks like a supermodel.

Yes, they seem to be experimenting with their text layout, which makes it feel like you're looking at a reinvigorated Vanity Fair. The cover shot is strangely sexless for someone holding open their shirt. It's by no means a bad cover, with that lovely light colour scheme, but stil...

i really like the text...
it feels a bit more modern...
the way the text was incorporated with the image on the september cover was very nice...

the actual picture on the other hand...
what is up with her lips? they look like jessica simpson!
the picture in the bathing suit is way better...
very old school glam...

The swimsuit picture is lovely, but, YIKES, her face looks aged! Not wrinkles or anything, but...not good.

I HATE the cover more and more. It looks like a still from a p*rn movie. Her expression is like saying, "Here are my boobs."

She's an A-List actress. Can't they have used one of the other pictures?

ok, i think her face and pose are totally disconnected....like she could be looking past the cameraman wondering what some assistant is reading.....in a strange sort of way, it reveals how sexless she can be....it's not at all sexy, and it really be....the skin is beautiful, but even just a bra shot wouldn't seem so "here are my boobs", and yet...i don't think anyone is gonna confuse this with Maxim, where the women are required to at least "appear" lustful

i love the nautical concept.nicole is a goddess,cover looks very fresh,bra bit a little unnecessary,she doesnt need that at this point in her career.but in any ase,nice to see a different cover of hers

Yes I agree. There is a large disconnect between the sultry pose the way she's fixed her face. She looks a bit lost in these shots. The cover fonts look fresh though - I'll give VF that.

I can't help but feel Testino would have been a better choice with this theme than Demarchelier. I love the overall concept but something about this - from the style of photography to the way Nicole looks just does not work for me. The second or third pictures would have made much more interesting covers.
