Hmmm, it wasn't such a spectacular ed. I saw Sasha in only one pic if my memory serves me right. I should have saved the pics..

^maybe thats been the objective of the editor ? anyone remeber the theme ?

^I'm pretty sure it was Lebovitz who shot Chanel, Sasha and Coco, each one was in a seperate shot and it wasn't very fashiony, kinda boring, I think it was to do with musicians or something like that.

And finally no Karlie:clap:

It was by Leibovitz about musicians in NY. Max Raabe and the Palace Orchestra in front of the Carnegie Hall (I think) with Coco, Chanel with a Jazz saxophonist on stage and Sasha in the recording studio.

I kinda like this peforming arts theme. Because I kinda like performing arts, I guess.

I didn't notice if this was posted before; A behind-the-scenes video of one of the Annie Leibovitz editorial shot.

This is one of the first editorials I'm liking coming from US Vogue. The entire fairytale idea is pretty fascinating, although simple.

And I'm also eager to see the Chanel, Sasha and Coco editorial.

Wow, based on what I've seen in that video, the ed's look really good. Very artsy, and VERY US Vogue.

Are US VOGUE December Issues are always ART ISSUES? Or this is the first time?

^I think they are. Maybe it started with the Alice In Wonderland inspired editorial with Natalia Vodianova shot by Leibovitz from the Dec. 2003 issue. ^_^ :D Just my opinion. :)

Oh yes! Did jen's issue from last year considered an Art Issue?

I like Cate just fine, but I think she looks really unattractive on the cover and, like some have already said, her ed reminds me of the VF one she did earlier this year.

I LOVE the Lily Cole/Lady Gaga ed, though. Love Love Love.

Since when are fairy tales associated with art-issues? The fairy tale stories by Leibovitz (and sometimes Meisel in the past) are more like holiday gifts to the readers.

I think reguardless of what the situation is with the Art Issue, the story themed editorials are always in December issues ( I read about it in my IN VOGUE coffee table book). The Natalia/Alice was in December as was an earlier one Beverly P/Snow White. They said something about it being a present for readers.

This is The Arts Issue: A Special Tribute to the Performing Arts. I would guess Anna is doing this special issue since she was appointed by Obama to the President's Committee on the Arts & Humanities.
