US Vogue January 2012 : Meryl Streep by Annie Leibovitz

god bless anna for embracing diversity every once in a while!

So lovely to see her on the cover, the fact that she´s 62 makes it even lovelier. A refreshing change from the starlets and the usual suspects :)
Though I´d like to see a better quality pic to check how much they photoshoped her age away...

I anticipate the dialogue to accompany Meryl's appearance, such an admirable cover star.

It's so nice and refreshing to see Meryl on the cover! She deserves it!

they could have done WAY better but still it's a nice shot :)

Is it seriously her first US Vogue cover!??!.. unbelievable.
She's such a beautiful and inspirational woman, I have so much respect for the devotion and grace she's managed her career with.. I'll probably buy this solely for her story.

I wish some Vogue would put freakin' Charlotte Rampling on their cover now. I'd probably have seizures of excitement. She deserves something like this, a tribute in the most important publication of a women-dominated industry.

so exciting. I can't wait to see what her interview is like. she's always so candid and open about all of her year's in film that I love reading her interviews.

US Vogue FINALLY convinced me to buy an issue with my own money after almost a year! I love Meryl so much and can't believe this is her first cover with them. Can't wait for the interview inside... after that, I think the only other actress who can make me buy an issue is if they put Betty White on the cover!

I can't say I'm excited for The Iron Lady (looks highly comical), but I do love me some Mary-Louise Streep. :D The woman appears to be at the top of her game, enjoying success some actresses in their twenties aren't having.

I literally screamed when I saw Meryl was on the cover!!! So happy for her, and for me ( I always wanted her in the cover!)

Well, at 63 she is sort of an "old" woman.

It's funny how people complain about celebrities being photoshopped to look so much younger than they are, but then when a woman looks her actual age it's frowned upon.

Thank you. At 63, you're not fooling anyone into thinking you're 33. Might as well embrace it and work what you've got. Which is exactly what Meryl does here and elsewhere usually. I'm liking this cover a lot.

Sorry, a very gifted woman but that s not a good cover

If this was shot by Leibovitz, it`s so uninspiring of her to have 2 cover shots related with the beach
