US Vogue March 2025 : Sabrina Carpenter by Steven Meisel

Personally I do tend to like it when someone older and more established gets a cover. I don't always like the results, but it's exciting to see people like Erykah Badu, SJP, Frances McDormand, and Miuccia Prada on the cover, solo, as they have been in recent years.
That's my point exactly! There's an abundance of charismatic and / or truly glamorous people, and here we go again with Sabrina.. again. I know it's all commercial and we need to sell sh*t, but come on..she is dull and incomparable to Madonna! In fact, MariaCarla Boscono, for example, can switch on electricity via a photo with just a hand angle or a stare alone. and here we are fawning over Sabrina who's a poor copy of Madonna puh-lease. lol

Models have always been undervalued by Anna Wintour.

Aside from a Marie Claire Mexico cover 2 years ago and a W Magazine cover (she shared the issue with 3 other cover stars) last year, she hasn’t had any *fashion* magazine covers, to my knowledge. So again, you don’t have to like her but acting like she’s overused in magazines “here we go with Sabrina… again?!?” is just unfounded.

I see Christina Aguilera circa the Back to Basics album, with a hint of Madonna. I like Sabrina Carpenter, so don't mind seeing her on the cover of American Vogue either - even more so photographed by Steven Meisel. This is all such a very pleasant surprise (after the Beyoncé cover rumors) and I'm here for it...

I feel like you constantly attack me for whatever I say on this forum and turn it into something that’s personal when it’s really not, and do so in a very rude manner actually, so I would kindly suggest you calm down please? I didn’t forget that you couldn’t have a normal, fashion related conversation before and just full on attack. Please stop replying to me if you have a problem with my OPINION on SABRINA CARPENTER. She is everywhere outside of print also. I hope you stop responding to my comments from now on if you have a problem.

I'm going to be a contrarian, but I don't like seeing Demi on magazine covers for some reason. She's always been so forced (I STILL remember her FIRST Charlie's Angels "comeback" and Ashton Kutcher sh*t that was everywhere for a few years and then the W cover with Anja's body). I'm sure she did give a good performance in The Substance, but the idea that Vogue should be tied to who's gonna get an Oscar (which has been done in the past) is *also* beyond annoying. In short, I personally don't find Demi Moore appealing or compelling.

One of her is cute, but two though?! :)

My snap.

There's also a friend there, hi! 😊❤

Really, what a day! She's so likeable that both Pat & Guido posted the cover and comments (which don't happen often when a new Meisel cover arrives). She's different for real. I agree with Vogue28, she's giving more Aguilera vibes on the cover!, but well, is impossible to make a person look the same as an icon. I know some people dislike her, you can't please all the people. Vanilla or not (what ever that means), age 25 or more, she still deserves this cover, it was so expected. Was weird the number of Vogue videos dropped with her last year, but not a cover. In dark times a girl like her brings joy.

(PD: wanting Benson Bone for GQ, styled by Cortina to pair this issue)

Depends of Anna, and I would love Demi on the cover as well. I think they avoided because The Substance was labelled as a horror flick and all the gore imagery, something that editors won't like to promote by prejudice, but after seen the response by public and critics, and the awards, there's no doubt she will get a major cover. Hope they don't put her on Vanity Fair as last minute option. I'll get angry, ha.

If you move on from the greatest hits of his career and focus on the now, this is good. He's done better, he's done worse and while this is far from my favourite Steven Meisel cover, I like it. I like the editorial (the Sherilyn Fenn Dolce & Gabbana close-up nod has my heart) and am very excited by the sight of Sabrina Carpenter in Vogue.
For me, this works in the context of who Meisel is and what he does today. It works as a fun cover of a pop star who's all about selling you sexy fantasies - much like her predecessor they seem to be referencing. I really don't have anything to complain about here! Very excited to get a copy of this, and hoping for a multi-page Dolce & Gabbana ad spread within, cause I don't really plan on buying any other magazines this season.

I like it. Better than their usual offerings with previously mentioned photographers (Cass Bird and Tyler Mitchell ). Its technically supposed to be giving Mansfield or Marilyn but all I can see is MADONNA.
