US Vogue October 2012 : Keira Knightley by Mario Testino

after the horror they've served recently in Harper's Bazaar, this is a pleasant surprise!
sometimes Keira looks so bad, especially when she wants to pull that "sexy" look when she slims her nose and pout her lips, which I hate, but she can definitely photograph well, the proof of which was April Interview's cover and now this. I really like it. and I don't mind the sleeve, it looks almost like an armour and it gives the cover a modern feel. great surprise.

Keira's face is beautiful but those things in her arms are horrendous!

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but she is actually promoting a film that comes out in the US in November. Her third film with Joe Wright. I guess its fun to hate on a girl, but at least get your facts right. I'm sure Anna does like her too, don't get me wrong, but acting as if there is no reason for her to be on the cover is silly.

Sometimes they buy the cover.

Oh I am sure that she did buy the cover. People were just making snide remarks about Keira's popularity and I was merely pointing out that the film company probably DID buy the cover. So it makes sense. She has something to promote.

it's not bad but there's is nothing new or creative about it as usual

The pastel/aquatic tones are gorgeous.. but it's most definitely all about that face .. it almost makes you forget there's a ridiculous amount of text around it.

yep i like this, i mean i don't expect much from vogue us anymore in terms of pushing their covers, but i like the touch of the Chanel glove and her eyes intensive the cover well to attract me to buy

she's such a bore can't believe the amount of covers she continues to bag, goodness

god this is so bad, poor Keira... and that thing on her hand is just horrible :yuk:

Ahh.. Keira and her signature mouth pose. I quite like this one. Although the layout heavily reminds me of Angelina's December 2010 cover.

Beautiful Keira but the dress looks bigger than her, and if it is not only in a Chanel show, you just dont wear those gloves. Love the colors of the font though.

The styling is weird, her pose is weird, the hair is weird, and her head looks so big. Really disappointed.

Damn this is bad!!! First off those arguments:

- 1° she is NOT a great actress at all, she is so f*** bland!!! I'm not for actresses on Vogue but at least, let's pick someone interesting and who can act please.
- 2° She's only on the cover because of the relationships she may have with Anna or someone at Condé nast or as it happens: the movie company "bought" her the cover
- 3° What the heck is she wearing??? The style is ALL WRONG: hair, clothes, that thing on her arm.
- 4° The whole photography is bad: the pose, the light, the angle = it's all the elements you DON'T need for a cover. I wonder who shot this...
- 5° As usual let's wait to see the editorials which are always 100% better than the actual cover subject.

But I'm disappoited this year, the only cover so far I really enjoyed in 2012 for US Vogue is the april one with Jennifer Lopez, everything else was just a big LOL and so boring and on the edge of bad. I used to be one of the biggest defenders of US Vogue but gosh this year it let me down big time!

I wouldn't mind this cover so much if she wasn't wearing those ugly sleeves. It throws off the whole look. Also, as other's have mentioned, the way Keira's hair is cropped looks a bit wonky. And please tell me I am not the only one whole finds Vogue's choices of men for the "magnificent seven" as boring? The only one on the list I rather like is Andrew Garfield. But seriously, Tim Tebow? :yuk:

If I was Keira I would've been so nervous to end up on the cover of US Vogue again, especially after that embarassing treatment of her hair on the September 2008 cover.
