US Vogue September 2004 by Steven Meisel

Does anyone know if, as a Vogue subscriber, I shoudl receive this issue in the mail? Or do I need to go to the bookstore and shell out extra for it? Thanks.

You'll get it but as usual Vogue's official policy is that they have until the end of the first week of the month to get it to you.

Picked this up today ($14.95, not the usual $12.50), the editorials are pretty good I think.. the rest of the magazine is pretty average.

just wondering does anyone know why Carmen wasn't included? It's only when I saw her in the Mizrahi ad that I realised how much I missed her!

I thought the cover was extremely bland when I first saw it but now it has completely grown on me. Insanely beautiful. Esp. Daria, Gisele and Isabeli.

i cant wait tilll it comes out here in perth, although it might get sold out because the hometown girl gemmas on the cover. this issue of vogue u.s has had a lot of free publicity cause the local newspapers have been going on about gemma being on teh cover!

maybe this is how it always is in vogue (I hardly buy US Vogue) but did anybody else notice how they would have a little 'article' (which I hate to call them because the writing is so poor) and then two pages later they would have an ad for something talked about in the article...I can't think of an example right now but I noticed this a lot...

most magazines are totally controlled by advertisers, form the articles to the editorials

any ways, iw as not impressed by this issue, basically normal cogue with more advertisments and a better cover

Has anyone else noticed this?

I bought my copy at Walgreens (drugstore) and everything was fine with it until I saw the Vogues at Barnes & Noble (bookstore). The one at Barnes & Noble was MUCH bigger! I didn't have time to go thru the entire thing, but I did notice that my copy was missing a big chunk in the middle. Later at the grocery store I checked them and they were small, too! Is this normal??

Well, mine had 2 times Nicole Trunfio for Kenneth Cole and the Ann Taylor ads at the beginning.

LOL.. mine had a bit of a mix up with the Ann Taylor ads I think.. some of the images appeared twice

I got mine at Barnes and Noble and there were only 2 Ann Taylor ads. I'm kind of mad about that.

But I got the Nicole Trunfio cell phone thing. Interesting...

I think there is a topic on it in the Nicole Trunfio thread. Basicly its just Nicole walking around being a model. A day in the life sort of thing. And she uses her cell phone a lot. Its an ad not an editorial. :flower:

Uhh I think my Vogue has been tampered with. The editor letter page is printed twice in my issue and Alek Wek and some other girl are the only model for the Ann Taylor ad (2 pages)

Aaarrrgghhh....I can't find it here in Holland....
