Normaly a girl grow till 16/17 and other girls till they are 14/15 years old

Valentijn is special... but i was thinking that she going to get very far as a model.

i don't understand why her height has to be such a problem. maybe she's too tall for the runway, but she can still be signed to agencies, and be booked for editorials etc? i mean, they always mention height, so the can adjust the clothes to that?

It shouldn't come as a surprise that fashion is very picky about measurements.. It's nothing new really. Girls have been dismissed before because of their height, just like those that lack a couple inches. Where there's a minimum you will certainly find a maximum on the other end. But then, anything seems possible these days doesn't it?

You can't make a living out of booking editorials only. For agencies you need to appeal to commercial clients as well if you're not going to be one of those 'top new faces'.

I have to say I'm completely new to this thread and just read her through whole story and am a bit speechless right now It's not only touching and haunting (in a way) but it makes me admire Valentijn even more now... She absolutely amazed me with her presence on the runway (and on pictures in general), having this extremely elegant and winsome aura to her. Her height might be limiting, but I agree that it really shouldn't hinder (all) her chances of working as a model. This girl is just too special and outstading to disappear from the scene
