We are very happy to introduce the exquisite Valentina Zelyaeva, the angel face of Ralph Lauren. Valentina is living in New-York and, besides her modeling job, she contributes to the healthy blog Organice Your Life and is working on her own website and blog, that we really look forward to checking out! Every morning I start with a big glass of green juice, which include celery/apple/cucumber/dill/kale/lemon.
4 years ago, i became curious about healthy eating. A friend of mine had lent me a book on raw food and I must say that eating live, enzyme-rich food to feel amazing and be healthier instantly made sense to me.
The curiosity lead me to a greener lifestyle. I also became aware of how much waste I was creating. I stopped doing take-aways or deliveries, beacuse I didn't want to use plastic bags and boxes to carry the food 10 minutes to my home.
I also made a massive clean-up in my kitchen and bathroom and literally threw away all toxic cleaners, soaps, shampoos, moisturizers etc. I started reading listed ingredients on the back of the tubes and bottles, making sureI wasn't putting chemicals on my face and body.
Next thing, I have installed a water filter under my sink, so I stopped buying bottles of water. Besides being extremely bad for our health, empty plastic bottles pollute our oceans.
I'm lucky to live close to local farmers market, where I shop for local fresh products. I'm also supporting an organic local family owned farm by purchasing a weekly box of veggies and fruits.
What are the addresses that inspire you the most in Paris, New York or elsewhere ?
Nature inspires me! So when I'm in New-York, I go to Central Park. when I'm in Miami, I spend a lot of time on the beach: catching some sun, jogging, taking long walks.
What are your favorite shopping stores & shopping web - addresses in Paris, New York or elsewhere ?
For the raw food I love to shop at : The Raw Food World (i buy almonds, seeds, coconut and olive oils, some of the raw beauty care and supplements - all organic, live and raw).
Natural Salt Lamps website offers a great selection of the himalayan-salt based beauty products like green tea shampoo, toners and clay face mask.
The Green Life Costore offers green products for your home, pets, and babie.
Organice Your Life is a blog that i write for! Here you will find many interesting articles about healthy food, green lifestyle, recipes, charities etc.
Youtube channel of Raw Radiant Health is a youtube channel that I watch sometimes for inspirating raw food recipes and healthy lifestyle.
Tell us about what is green in your beauty routine and... What is not green about it too
Most of my beauty products are natural and chemical-free. For instance I love my "Eminance" rose face cream. It is a completely organic and natural face moisturizer. I also use pure coconut oil with a few drops of a grapefruits essential oil to moisturize my body.
I brush my teeth with "Jason" toothpaste. It is an organic natural dental care product.
My deodorant is by "Vichy" and it is aluminum-free (aluminum is knowing to cause a breast cancer).
When I need an extra soothing mask, I use raw organic honey. Just put the honey all over the face for 10 minutes, it calms the skin and heals inflammation.
Its really difficult to find good natural shampoo, without dangerous ingredients. I have tested many of the brands but still can't find what will suite me. Green tea shampoo by "Solay" is among my favourites.
My not-so-green beauty products are make-up removers. I use commercial brands because they remove heavy eye-makeup and foundation really well, so I don't need to rub my skin, which is very sensitive.
What are the most important things to teach to children ?
When I have my children, I will teach them to be kind to themselves and to others. I will teach them to eat healthy. I will teach them to treat everybody equal - because we are all the same and we all want the same thing: to love and to be loved.

Funny how Val only came on tFS once in a while, and eventually didn't come back at all, but is on Twitter all the time...
