This tenure is going to be a long one to endure. 3 collections in and I have already gave up.

So for him, Couture is just a costume party. It’s not about the woman or her lifestyle.

For me Couture is so much linked to the lifestyle of those women that seeing a bunch of tents in fancy fabrics does nothing for me.

Armani Prive can be dated in so many ways but never on his intention with Couture.

Alessandro is already my new « MGC ».

Anyone has intel on how good or bad AM’s collection is doing in stores? I really don’t see any of his creations in my city everyone is still wearing their Rockstuds and Vlogo here

This show is just too much to take in during one sitting, so I’m not surprised that Valentino will now have only one couture show per year. But omg, there’s just too much going on. Some pieces were nice and quite simple for Michele's standards, but they were absolutely lost in this sea of camp. Then there were the dresses that looked like something Viktor & Rolf might have designed at the beginning of their career.

I don’t know. I was rooting for Michele, but his perspective on haute couture leads nowhere. Still, I believe it’s better than most of PPP’s work.

Stylistics besides (LOL?! can you imagine any fashion discourse having to start like this??? But here we are!) - How can the fit be SO bad with so many infantile cuts? Most of the waistlines are way too big and I'm pretty sure that was not the intention (if it was, that would be maybe even worse?). The presentation is unbearably boring - "historic" costumes contrasted with what AM apparently belives is hyper modernity - a 90s style Wall Street banderole? I don't know, maybe just quit before things get worse? This is so insufferably unmodern, unrelevant and unstylish. I'd be surprised if anybody is buying this stuff but also if this sells the "dream" of Valentino to anybody who is into ready-to-wear.

Agreed on every single word...some looks would look great on Opera actresses.
The best part was the finale where you can't really see the looks well...

not selling still ........ceo and creative director are also not on speaking terms .....maybe ceo will be end up leaving or fired as they want to keep golden boy creative director as he complains all the time things that dont work .......

time will tell :-)
