Valentino Haute Couture S/S 2025 Paris

I am late to comment on this couture season, but I don‘t dislike this collection as much as most members do. I think without the Demna-lite digital presentation and the typical Michele styling, it could have been a decent collection. The Valentino references (like the rework of the black-blue gown and the Green coat) are quite obvious there, but Michele's touch is too heavy and all over the place. Overall, I will take this over Schiaparelli (which is more like an assembling process of silhouettes from the golden years of haute couture) due to its owning more personality. Now maybe Michele should begin studying Lacroix if he wants to continue in this direction because what he made is just like a poor man's old Lacroix.

200 PAGES!!?? Oh lord. What happened to age-old golden rule of “show, don’t tell”? I don’t recall Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Martin Margiela… having such show notes in their heydays

If AM has to explain himself with 200-page show notes… maybe rethink the entire collection instead of presenting this sh*tshow?
