Am I the only one surprised by the photographer choice? To go from relative obscurity to shooting the Valentino campaign seems a bit of an odd jump, no?

^and -imo- that is why this feels so refreshing, new blood instead of the same photographers rehashing their pasts *coff mert and marcus steven meisel coff*
but Valentino has gone for the unexpected choice in recent campaigns: Deborah Turbeville, Sarah Moon...

Benjamin Vnuk is one of those "unknown" photographers that I recently discovered, I´d love for him to work with this label in the future

This is the most beautiful campaign I've seen in a really long time. Well done Valentino. I had no idea there exist such a talented photographer which comes from my country! I'm proud of Michal and I hope he will become a big name in the industry.

The laying in the dark water shot is in February's interview and it looks amazing, it's cut off just a little bit in the middle but their faces are visible.

I adore the kooky element introduced this season, I'm not usually a fan of Valentino ads but this one is stellar.
