Why on earth did they shoot this on the fake New York set at Warner Bros. Studios in L.A.? So bizarre. Why not go to the real thing?

Seriously, Pierpaolo's Valentino campaigns are such a disappointment. Besides being very boring and Coach-esque, this current campaign is so poorly art-directed. Why are they trying so hard to make that V Logo happen? And adding "Garavani" underneath? Looks very dated.

Nothing will surpass the perfection that was achieved in terms of Valentino advertising during Maria Grazia Chiuri's time. Say what you will, but those campaigns were so exquisite and magical. Really the height of chic for this brand IMO.

The brand identity has been build around the jetset, an affluent lifestyle, something dreamy or at least aspirational.
Now that PPP has jumped into the inclusivity bandwagon, suddenly, he doesn’t want to include those people in that dreamy world. Nobody cares about Valentino in the streets! Sell us glamour for god sake!

Inclusive?! You mean how would a luxury brand will even be inclusive?!

Whatever, just another boring campaign to add to PPP bland and forgettable campaigns collection. I can't remember a single good Valentino campaign under his tenure.

Nothing will ever top their Spring 2016 campaign by Steve McCurry. That was the best Valentino collection and campaign ever produced. And the best of both of MGC and PPP career.

This casting is criminal. It really says a lot about the state of this brand.

Valentino lost the case with Mario Valentino whereby they can't use name Valentino on accessories/advertising. Copyright name- Valentino on accessories belong to Mario Valentino.

I always remember one interview with Valentino when journalist ask him, why his dress is so long and is impractical. He answered that his customers had chauffeur, they didn't use public transport.

Uninspiring, dull, and pedestrian. Valentino RTW was far more chic and covetable when Pierpaolo and Maria Grazia were a team. At least Couture still has something to offer, although this seasons offering was all a gimmick. What happened?

I'm surprised Valentino kept it, even with sales falling...

Very Leibovitz…
Maybe if they tried to fit into the idea of a lifestyle, their products would standout more. No fantasy, nothing.
The bag is better than all the previous ones tho.

Its remind me of that new lannvin bag with the kitty handle

Nothing else but a disaster. Looks like promo shots for a CW show about a group of friends from Kansas, who arrive to the big city in the hopes of making their dreams come true…

Remember when Valentino’s campaigns made you dream of the perfect life? I was just at the Universal back lot and it’s anything but aspirational…
