Def the reference is The Group ed, but that was a representation of its time, the grunge and rave cultures in 90s youth. Gen Z didn't create anything new, but they have more freedom to express and being themselfs. The original ed was quite diverse in terms of shape and sexuality. It's more explicit here, but it doesn't have the wow factor of those years.
This truly takes me back to when I was just becoming acquainted with Vogue Italia, was starting to notice the masterful work of Steven Meisel and I would not have a single clue as to who was in his photographs. I don't exactly hate this...
