Valeria arrived to the USA in 1993. Her first "big hit" was Vogue us February with Steven Meisel. In October she cast for Ralph Lauren Spring 94 and that was her first renowned fashion show until Versus Spring 95 in Milan (October 1994)
In early 1995 she obtained the Guess contract for two seasons, from that moment and constant Versace shows/campaigns Valeria began her up hill in the fashion mainstream. Her best year was 1996, everybody wanted to work with her.

Another big goal was the Sports Illustrated 1996 cover with Tyra, she gained huge fame outside the fashion world.
