WITH model show mania sweeping TV screens around the world, one Sydney teenager has found herself on top of the pile - with a $US100,000 contract in her pocket too.
Russian-born Valerija Erokhina bagged a prized deal with leading New York agency Next, after appearing on the American doco-style, rather than catty contest, A Model's Life.
The former St Clare's Waverley student has kept mum on her fashionable good fortune, filming the series last January over six weeks.
Wisely returning to finish her HSC studies, the 18-year-old Chic Media model will jet out for the Big Apple on Tuesday to take up her offer.
Erokhina and two of the six international model hopefuls featured in the program won the lucrative start, guided by supermodel Petra Nemcova who took a shine to the Aussie.
Dubbing the Euro-looking beauty "baby Petra", Erokhina told Confidential Nemcova even took the young contestants into her Manhattan home.
