thanks so much for posting, is the UK or US?
:flower:
I really like the cover

I'm always happy to see the new issue of Vanity Fair posted!

Thanks Miss Dalloway :flower:

As someone who has always been a fan of Monroe, i am very happy to see her on the cover and i love VF for never fearing to use personalities of the past on their covers, its truly refreshing when you see this or JFK,Bobby.etc covers next to today Keira.etc ones, it makes one think........

Cant wait to get it.

MMA- me too, and no problem. :flower:

Vogue28-its US edition.

Miss Dalloway, thanks for the info

Here's some info on other content...

Was Anne Hathaway conned by Raffaello Follieri? . . . Was Brooke Astor abused? . . . Did Dominick Dunne have a hell of a time covering crime and parties? . . . and what are the stories behind Annie Leibovitz's always fascinating photos? The magazine will also offer its 14th collection of the New Establishment, and everybody is fairly panting to see if they are on this list.

Blech. If they are going to put old school peeps on the cover, use Grace Kelly or Ava Gardner or Frank Sinatra or Liz Taylor. VF'S covers are gettting dodgier and dodgier.

How is putting Marilyn Monroe on their cover dodgy?

She is bigger than any of the stars you named and unlike them she still resonates today with million of new generation fans, i know very little young girls tallking about Ava Gardner or Kelly its more like Monroe or Audrey Hepburn.

Agreed... who else 46 years after their death could still be a cover girl on Vanity Fair? She is beyond legend... mythology is more like it.

I know tons of people that love Audrey and Grace. Ava, I can see people not knowing who she is in a way, but I don't know many people who don't know about Audrey or Grace and who don't like%2

^^Honestly they are all wonderful, but i think when it comes to selling issues power today, Marilyn and Elvis rule, but i do love the ones you named as well, and would welcome them on the cover. :flower:

Hmm, have to see the photos inside though ^_^

Looks very much amazing. I agree that she is the right choice as opposed to Grace or Ava. Although it would be nice to have seen Audrey instead. :)

I've been in awe of Marilyn ever since I mistook a picture of her for Madonna when I was like, 4 years old. So this is a must buy for me.

It's crazy when you think about it, she hasn't been photographed since 1962 and yet there's a ridiculous selection of gorgeous photographs of her.

I can't wait to take a look.

Putting her on the cover of this kind of special issue is great. I usually don't buy VF but I would do if there were more pics enough inside..
