Vanity Fair April 2008 : Sarah Silverman, Tina Fey & Amy Poehler by Annie Leibovitz

Glad to see Vanity Fair toned down it's sexist side and didn't make those women pose nearly nude as they've done with every other female they've put on the cover recently.

i can't stand sarah silverman, but the calvin klein piece will be interesting to read!

I saw the shoot on TV last night...it looks great! They all impersonate Hollywood bad girls in different scenes throughout...

The pictures turned out much nicer than I thought they would be when I first heard about them. I actually like them - when I first heard the Wanda Sykes as Naomi thing I had a small heart attack so its nice to see that the pictures turned out nicely. All these women are very amusing in their own way - I do agree with the consensus that Kathy Griffin must be included in some way though. Kathy has been around for years doing her comedy - it would be aggravating if they left her out.

And I just want to second the notion that Tina Fey is AMAZING.

best vf cover in sometime, no.

I love Chelsea Handler... It's very good that she's on VF . But I hate Sarah!

OMG I love Sarah Silverman sooo much. I can't wait for this! I don't get why people say she's not funny.
"I'm f*cking Matt Damon!"

Now, if they had gotten Kathy Griffin to be Lindsay it would've been so much better. Love her to death, and given how much Lindsay features in Kathy's standup, it would've had something funny built right in.
I completely disagree! Jenna Fischer makes a much better Lindsay Lohan seeing as she's actually funny and she can act! Unlike Kathy Griffin!^_^ IMO!

Who Says Women Aren’t Funny?
The idea that women aren’t funny—and which male said that?—seems pretty laughable these days. TV has unleashed a new generation of comediennes, who act, perform stand-up, write, and direct—dishing out the jokes with a side of sexy. Annie Leibovitz photographs a dozen of the wittiest dames in showbiz, from 30 Rock’s Tina Fey to Sarah Silverman, to S.N.L.’s current stars, while the author learns why the setup has changed.

Sarah Silverman = not funny.

Amy Poehler and Tiny Fey = hilarious!

So it's best two out of three. I love this cover!

iam sorry but Amy Poehler is the only one who looks nice on that cover.......

I remember how CosmoGirl! said that Sarah Silverman and Amy Winehouse could totally be sisters... and they were right!

I think this issue looks cute. Not groundbreaking or anything, but solid all the same.

I love this concept.

I see a lot of people on this thread don't think Sarah Silverman is funny, I generally agree with that, but she has her moments.
I'm F*#&ing Matt Damon was pretty funny (and I don't even like Matt Damon), and some of the comments she made about Paris Hilton were pretty funny too, I think mainly because Paris was in the room at the same time she was saying them.

Anyway, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler deserve to be on the cover, they are hilarious.
