Great to see Meryl but what a boring cover. Don't like it. She looks so pale. I didn't expect a full blown Leibovitz extravaganza, but this cover is so 'cold' and pedestrian. I would have preferred a more warmer Testino or Weber portrait.
Meryl is the greatest actress alive yet Vanity Fair gives her a less than memorable cover. At first glance I thought it was Time Magazine, do better VF! But the inside portraits are lovely!
Meryl Streep has such presence in her person, it's hard to take a truly bad picture of her. I like concept of the cover, but I think the lighting and disheveled hair washes her out a bit. But what an otherwise amazing collection of Meryl portraiture! I take it we'll find these (#19) featured in this issue?
