Vanity Fair March 2008 : The Hollywood Issue by Annie Leibovitz

I love the colours on this cover! They're quite soft and beautiful! Just don't understand what Jessica Biel is doing on the cover! She just can't act!

Its funny how there are never comparison's,and "who is deserving to be on the cover" discussion when male celebrities are on it.

I need to see the cover in better quality to decide, but it looks beautiful, great colours and they all look good.

Really? Not even the recent GQ cover?

Vanity Fair rarely does all male Hollywood issue covers anyway. When was the last time... 2004? And it certainly wasn't any type of 'ingenue', or likewise, cover. Apparently they don't care much for new male talent. And I can't remember the last time it was a male/female split (maybe 2000).

Maybe I'm bias, but I'd rather see ladies in pretty dresses on the cover because I'm boring that way.

Having said that, any guesses for who will be joining them?

apparently america ferrera is also featured in the issue. not sure if she made the foldout or not, but would be great if she did.

They did a cover with only men last year:

You're completely right. Before that was 2003, and then 1996-ish. My point, though, is really that it rarely ever happens anymore, which I think is a shame.

moussemaker please credit the cover image you posted
thank you

Why Jessica Biel:yuk:. I think the cover could have been better. Amy Adams is beautiful, but looks bad.

****Obviously I need to see a clearer cover.

Cause boning JT made her slightly A-list...other than that she is box office poison.

Jessica Biel really is box office poison and along with eva mendes and jessica biel, one of the most uninteresting actresses around. Jessica Biel's pr person is one of the best in the biz-they were influential in getting her the esquire sexiest woman alive cover.

I adore the cover, the pastels really get to me.. plus, it has a very vintage feel to it.
I'm so getting this issue.

Jessica Biel!!!OMG, where's Paris Hilton?she's good as Jessica Biel

a joke

wow jessica biel's publicist honestly deserves every penny he/she gets paid. because its quite amazing how she gets these type of gigs.

Seriously, if she's not kissing her publicist's feet every day, I don't know what then. Somehow she's fooled everyone into thinking of her as having a "career" even though she really doesn't? She's been promoted as the next big thing for like seven years now and nothing. Probably because she has as much talent as a cardboard cutout.

The other three are great choices though. I'm kinda happy for Anne Hathaway. I'm surprised Rachel McAdams didn't make it. VF is probably still mad at her for that nude cover fiasco.

You are right, VF is most likely still mad about the cover-and let me say that was one of the worst covers in VF history-but also, Rachel is not about mag covers and the like.

Emily and Amy make total sense. I'm a little lost on the other two....but oh well! They all look beautiful.

This hollywood issue cover is so far sadly too homogenized for me:( But it's pretty

Natalie Portman is not in any way shape or form a fresh face and Ellen Page is not glamorous. I am sick of seeing her puckered little face anyway.
