January all the way.. love the B&W w/ red ..they were pretty good with their covers up until may. i don't have anything against Madonna but i just think that this is the time where there covers go a little downhill. The Bobby Kennedy cover afterwards is very epic..but then they screw up again with Angelina with overstyling her. The cover afterwards with Hollywood's new wave is very nice, yet has a teen vogue-ish feel to it but maybe because they're all so young. Carla Bruni's cover is "no" for me, but the rest of the covers are quite nice, especially the Marilyn Monroe cover.

Actually, there were some beautiful covers here. Much better than some fashion magazines--I think I'll have to renew my subscription to Vanity Fair, which expired... years ago. (I still buy some issues at the store.) January/Katherine H, July/Angelina, October/Marilyn and November/Amy Adams are my favorites; I'm not really a fan of group shots like March, April and August's, but these are well-executed.

I loved March's cover- all the ladies looked wonderful. They represent real Hollywood talent, not the usual tabloid overexposure.

There were some really great covers in 2008 but my favourite is the January cover with Katherine Heigl.
