Velvet Veil by Facetime (Primer)

If you love this, you'll love Velvet Veil by Facetime. I used smashbox forever, but read a review on facetime, and I am sold. My make-up does not even move at all. It looks the same as it did that morning.

Will do. Another blogger who I highly respect wrote a piece on it. She said she went to bed with the flu and didnt take off her make-up that evening (she knew it was a big no-no) but she felt dreadful. When she woke up the next morning, her make-up was flawless. I have to agree. I have tried it for three weeks straight, and although I love Smashbox, this works much better for me. I will start a thread when I get through with work in just a bit.

It sounds good...unfortunately I just stocked up on my smashbox primer and won't be in the market for one for quite sometime...

That's the blog I was referring to. I just wasn't sure if I could post a link to a blog here. Anything that BGoodman recommends is the best. She really does her research. I promise, my make-up does not move during the day. And, I run and I work at my computer and touch my face a lot. It looks the same at the end of the day now. I have a whole bottle of Smashbox and I didn't care. I had to have it and I have been so happy.

wow... i'm going to check this out and give it a try... i'm out of primer actually have been for a WHILE now... i just bought some Bare Essentuals primer... but I can always give that to my mother she loves the stuff... thanks coachwife!

I can't recommend this enough. I used smashbox for several years and was happy with it but my make-up did not have much staying power. I felt as if smashbox just helped it go on more smoothly. Now, my make-up stays in place all day long. I had a full bottle of smashbox primer but i gave it away after I bought this.

I just bought a new thing of BE primer brand new havn't opened it yet from sephora (should've saved my money) so I guess i'm going to see if I can return it unopend or something and see if they'll take it back and give me my refund (if this stuff really works)

just thought i'd let u know I got my package today it came in a ghetto little envelope lol but yea... i haven't tried it yet but it says on the back it's an all over body cream? werid but it says to use it under concealer too sooo... i'm hoping it works... i'm quite excited!!

I know, I thought it was weird too to read about it being an all-over cream. But I only use it on my face. What do you think? Do you like it? Everything BlogdorfGoodman recommends is the best.

I could really kiss u for making this thread!
It's lovely and it doesnt feel like my face has anything on it... i know that i used BE primer and it looked and felt greasy and this stuff feels kinda silky but i can't actaully feel me wearing it and it doesnt make my face look all greased up!

and I usually do my makeup about 7ish before work then i've got it on til 5 when i get home and it doesnt budge... i usually take it off when i get home though but it's pretty amazing stuff and it's really easy to fix ur mistakes when applying ur makeup.

I need to order a second bottle of this. The bottle says you can use it on your body. Has anyone done that?

I have to say that I don't love it.. it has to do with the texture..it feels too something.. on my skin.. airtight, like it desn't allow the skin to breath.. it's a passing sensation.. so I'll keep using my bottle ( I even got a backup bottle.. before having tested the prodct..and I'll use that as well..so it's not like I hate the product..it's just not my HG).

I prefer Laura Mercier's primer.. which has a more 'breathable' texture, keeps the makeup on very well.. but ofcourse is more expensive..

Hmmm ... so how is it on realllllllllly oily skin? Because mine is super duper oily and all primers I've tried seem to exacerbate that.
