Vero Cuoio - ?

So, I see this on the bottom of my nicer dress shoes... What does it mean? Googles just return italian language docs... Please sate my curiousity.

Here in germany people often don't understand it too and then in many eBay auctions you can see something like "nice shoe - from vero cuoio" (as manufacturer) LOL

Mostly you will see it on the sole, which indicates that the sole is made of real leather - always a sign of higher quality (IMHO).

BTW, sometimes you will see a sticker that will have several shoe shapes and material next to it - that tells you of what material each part of the shoe is made (upper, inner sole, outer sole)

that's probably true - i was thinking more in the relation of leather sole vs. non-leather sole.
