Thank you for the pictures, runner.

I find this uninspiring, just like the rest of her menswear. Too bad, because I like her womenswear.

^ Agreed, womenswear is 100 times better than this.

Very boring.

I like the gentle sedateness of it. And the pieces are always very beautifully finished...the green leather jacket would be a nice gift to myself, if only I were that generous...

Mmmm, no thanks, Veronique. She obviously has a 70's/80's retro fixation, which I don't find objectionable in her womenswear because of its subtlety; unfortunately the same influences in her menswear usually end up looking a bit kitch, even when the clothes are relatively understated.

Thanks runner, for posting. Don't really like it though - agree with droogist that the retro influences are so blatant that it becomes kitsch. Standing back from it a little it's sort of like a cross between Margiela and Fendi or something. She's obsessed with those drapey wide legged pants which, though no doubt well made and finished, just aren't that flattering, and look way too formal.

Don't let Bakla see that one

I kind of see where VB is coming from - I think it is a niche. At least I haven't seen anyone do menswear in this wein. It's just a boring/bland niche, that's all...

It's like the stuff you normally see at GQ.
It might be boring, but if I wear that stuff where I live, I'll still stand out.

We must be looking at different GQ's, all I ever saw there are Hugo Boss suits and Gucci loafers

Like metrosexual stuff?

I only bought two issues, Nov. and Dec. 04. And the colors of the clothes remind me of what i saw in those issues.

and don't make fun of me:cry:

I wasn't trying to :flower: Truth be told, I haven't looked at GQ in maybe 5 years. But before that all they had were Hugo Boss suits and Gucci loafers, no?
