Once again, her menswear does nothing for me. Especially at her price points.

the last three images aren't bad at all, actually

it actually looks like a fall/winter collection. i guess veronique is keeping antwerp in mind.

i quite like it...
imo-the jackets/coats are her strongest point...
great tailoring...nice fabrics...
narrow and relaxed at the same time...
just very cool...B)

*like the shoes too...
though they might be boots...can't tell...

thx faust..:flower:

No offense to any Branquinho models, but a lot of them look like they came from a Betty Ford clinic...

with her womenswear, there is always a really fantastic piece here and there, but i haven't found that in her menswear.

don't know, don't know about the tailoring - in the past (and i admit i haven't tried her piece on in a year, just because i haven't seen anything of interest) she had fit problems. it wasn't just tight, it felt wrong. and i know i wasn't the one buffled by this. her menswear had the balenciaga fit syndrome.

poc...i actually think they look quite handsome and 'masculine'...
sometimes a little 'rough around the edges' can be quite a good thing...imo...
:innocent:

i think veronique is good for 'basics' faust...
that's why i love her...
she's not revolutionary..but she is usually rather reliable...
good 'filler' pieces...

yep, too bad her basics come at such crazy prices. i saw a pair of SWEATPANTS at if for $400  :o

yah...
i remember you guys talking about that..
maybe she just cuts for a certain body type...the way dior homme does...

or maybe she's worked that out...hopefully...

anyway...if it fits anything like the samples fit the models...
i'm into it..

*just not the STYLING...i'd have to mix it up a bit more... :D

but you'll have them for 10 YEARS!!

at $40 /year that's a pretty good deal i'd say... :p ;)

Not impressed but I'm not surprised either. It's very true to Branquinho's niche as usual. I do wish Mlle Branquinho would evolve just a bit more like she does her women's then perhaps I could get into a bit more. It just looks the same every season so far.

Prices aside, it's nice stuff. I'd certainly wear a bunch of it if it was given to me for free. :D Oddly, the second jacket in post #2 looks exactly like a less detailed version of my MJ jacket.

i agree with softgrey - it looks well made & well cut. No its not pushing the boundaries of menswear but its wearable & stylish. I think the fact that she has used a slightly older man to model these clothes is a hint at who she is designing for....stylish men who don't want to look like every chav on the street but who isn't a rebel anymore (if that makes sense)..... a bit like the Margaret Howell customer I think. I think the beauty of it is that you could see a sevety year old man or a twenty year old man both looking good in these clothes.

All that said, I think veronique's heart lies with womenswear.

You're absolutely right :flower: , it's far too 'safe ' for a typical TFS man , if such a beast there exists .

Gorgeous as usual! God I like Branquinho's clothes. I think she is THE top designer of the moment. The finishing detail on her clothes is allways amazing and they are so comfortable. highly wearable quality fashion. Love it!
I see at least 7 things that I know are gonna end up in my wardrobe next summer!
