:flower:

try calling:

I think Iris in NYC has footwear.
Iris 827 Washington St., 212-645-0950

ikram chicago
linda dresner 212 308 3177
susan in burlingam 650 347 0452
galleria neoponte 201 541 7744

I know they all carry the "odd" ones so maybe...

Iris is hands down best bet for shoes, and they are having a sale. They have a plain version of that boot for 40 or 50% off. :flower:

Amalga in Soho carried her Spring clothing line....not sure about Fall.
They are on Wooster btwn. Prince and Spring.

Softgrey, Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge and Liberty in London both have her stuff......in Paris I am sure L'eclaireur (on Rue des Rosiers) and (i think) the Bon Marche.

thanks to everyone for your help with this...

Le bon marché and Montaigne market both carry Branquinho, sales are just starting in Paris and European prices are usually better on brands like Branquinho so I'd try calling them.

**i found out that the boots i was looking for were runway only... boohoo!!

but i also found out that IRIS produces branquinho footwear- along with chloe, Marc Jacobs, Viktor and Rolf etc...

and they have three franchises that i know of which carry the Branquinho footwear...
Paris
London
New York

Oh dear, soft, that is very disappointing, isn't it? I really thought I would be able to get my hands on those boots somehow. I really like a lot of VB's shoes, but they are terribly expensive at full price. The covered boots from the runway were also spectacular....if you are an Amazon, that is....

helena--Iris is a new shoe store in the meat-packing district. Here is a little explanatory excerpt from what I posted in the NYC shopping thread:
"Iris is a little-known Italian company that manufactures shoes for Marc Jacobs, John Galliano, Chloé, Viktor & Rolf, Veronique Branquinho, and Paul Smith. But unlike other multibrand stores, this boutique doesn't carry just selected looks from those powerhouse names; it will have every single style (stiletto, boot, slingback, peep toe, platform) in the entire line of each label."

Oh wow, Iris sounds wonderful...'

Just to add, you can also purchase Branquinho from Harvey Nicolas in Hong Kong.

softgrey what is iris? is it a shop?
helena...

it's a shop - yes...

the first one i was in was with YOU in london dear!...
the day we saw trinnie...
;)

they are the ones who carry all the marc and chloe shoes etc...

i just found out from a friend that there is another Iris store in Milan as well...

they seem to have exploded suddenly...^_^

sorry to hear about the boots soft! that is frustrating ...

I've never had a chance to see VB clothes in person. Does anyone know of any stockists in the LA area? Although, I think I read somewhere from Laika that her clothes don't work as well for shorter women

hi tourist...
clothes don't work as well for shorter women
that is often true...

veronique branquinho cuts in a similar fashion to vanessa bruno...
long and narrow...

so it's hard if you have some curves or are petite....

however...
laika and i BOTH bought the same pr of cullotes and leggings this season..
and i think laika also got a dress...
:p

so it really does depend on the style of the particular pieces...
i used to be able to wear a lot more of it..
it's when the collection is too tailored that i run into issues...

:flower:...

not sure who would carry it in CALI......
i would think barney's would be the most likely suspect though...

tourist, I find that she cuts quite generously, which can sometimes be a problem if you are smaller than a US 4. Length is almost always an issue, as most of her skirts and even tops seem to be cut for a woman with model proportions--probably VB herself....:ninja:

That said, I have gotten around all of this with very simple tailoring, which I find worth it, especially since the quality and workmanship of her stuff surpasses pretty much everything else in my closet.

I am pretty sure Barney's BH doesn't stock it, but maybe try Satine? :flower:

laika, I dont know if Satine carries her line, I thought so, but realized I got vanessa bruno mixed up with veronique branquinho, its the VB thing. I have seen her at IF in NYC for sure. There has got to be a store on the west coast, maybe Maxfields?

thanks for all the replies and stockist help soft, laika, and lucky!

I'm glad to hear that most of her pieces are workable after some simple alterations. I'd imagine the dresses and perhaps the pants would be the most difficult.

lucky - I think you're right, Maxfield is probably the best bet, although somehow I dread that place! The one time I went there, the SA's were less than friendly ...

I probably did the same thing, with the VBs....:p

It doesn't really seem like a Satine thing, or an LA thing at all, to be honest. tourist, i bet you are the only potential Branquinho customer in all of Los Angeles!

IF is the best NYC stockist, for sure...:flower:

I've only been here for 2 weeks, but I think you're right ... makes me miss SF terribly. In any case, I think Susan is the only VB stockist in the Bay Area, and I think it only carries a few pieces, as I've never seen VB there. No luck for us on the West Coast.
