all of the red pieces were my favourite

great boots! and i love the dresses at the start

so this is what Versace would look like if it weren't tacky...yeah, I want the trashiness back, then

It's very demure for Versace and therefore boring. But well, when it's too much it's very tacky again. Difficult! But a over the top Versace is more interesting. The cutout knee boots are great though, elegant and sexy.

kinda "modest" for Versace... I want the full on hyper eurotrash sl*t factor that made it's name

^

Not sure what this foray into modesty means for the world (lowered hemlines reflecting a bad economy?) but I don't like it. Please, how I can I tut-tut properly when Donatella shows skirts at the knees???

The accessories are fantastic, especially the boots. Nice dresses, young spirit.
I only dislike the evening wear, which is Versace actually famous for.

No, this just looks like Forever 21 circa 2004.

The other day I was looking at a mag from 2005 and it was filled with outfits like the ones in this collection. It´s not even retro or a throwback, imo it´s just plain lazy. It seems like they looked at their archives and came up with this.
The boots and bags were the only thing good imo.

Versace is just the same as Giannini's Gucci - over-rated and riding on a good name.
The clothes in this collection make me feel sick - the draped jersey with the huge gold buttons? Oh god.

This statement shocked me:
For all the figure-hugging her dresses have done, it was a surprise to learn that Donatella Versace has never used bias cutting before.

Sort of a basic technique for a close-fit really..

Wow, so this is Versace structured and conservative. I'm greatly disappointed. And I must say the evening gowns were HORRIBLE! A Versace evening gown without sex appeal is like cake without frosting.

I've never thought Versace is tacky (ok depending on who's wearing it maybe 50%) but for this I agree with everyone else - boring and lost it's sex appeal. The colours aren't even that nice. Such a disappointment. The boots are the only good thing about this.
