They don't seem too bad to me, the heel height makes them look a little funny, it kinda throws the whole proportion off....for me anyway. I do think it could look very cool with a pencil skirt and big, chunky knit sweater, but I don't think they use a metal heel well.

Not my style. And yes, they do remind my of what is affectionately known as "stripper" shoes. BUT, I do believe that many women can carry it off well w/o looking trashy - I'm just not one of them. Conservative blouse, cardigan with a pencil skirt works.
