thank you, that exactly sums up my sentiments. what the brand has been all about recently is just dreadfully out of fashion. the versace man was too virtual and undesirable, at least to me. what i am seeing in vitale's presentation sparks at least some newness and hope that the versace code has been cracked and refreshed.

Agreed, I think the way this first Versace collection by Dario Vitale looks like is more Versus-like than it is Miu Miu - In any case, more of a youth-focussed image and less of the sultry woman we connect with supermodel-Versace of the 90ies. It isn‘t less Versace but a different facet of the brand less emphasized on by Donatella.

There is perhaps a sense of confusion now that Versace will probably need to consolidate a few lines as a means to reboot. It‘s understandable some people will not like that since the cachet of the mainline needs to be redefined and take on a few aspects Jeans Couture and Versus catered towards before.

The mens following that it had was the customer of Philip Plein, DSquared, the trashiest Givenchy and the trashiest Vuitton.

I agree with Royal-Galliano that with this splash, Versace has entered the arena.
