Veruschka von Lehndorff

the two pics of her with the littler girl and the camera are just precious!

Veruschka The Magnificent

If I were to tell you the moves and travels these photos have been through... you would forgive the imperfections. Especially the last two.
I remember that when I saw this spread in Vogue (at my mother's hairdresser) I couldn't believe she was real and these are the very pictures that opened up the fashion world to me and began my fashion obsessions.
I was so happy to find this thread and to know there are others out there who also "get it"!

More soon. I have plenty.

Thank you dioramour! Absolutely fantastic shots... I don't remember how many times I might have said this about Veruschka's work, but every photo in those editorials is simply breath-taking!

DIORAMUR, thank you, they are so inspiring and beautiful,

imperfections? Oh! Please, who cares, they has the delicous vintage taste,
and the exquisite model spirit.

Wow,she just totally changed the modeling world. She could again too if she did work again, this generation is so teenage and lifeless...

Even More Magnificence

You're welcome anniehall!:D

I was actually going to post the beautiful Avedon spread ... but the truth of it is that my scanner bed is not large enough to scan the earlier bigger Vogues.

Oh well, I will take the pages to someplace soon and get them scanned and then posted here.
It's actually very good that I am getting these magazine images scanned as some have become very delicate over the years.
In the meanwhile....
Here are five that I printed years ago, which somehow got folded:blush:, from my copy of her book.
I'll get more of the real thing up soon.
(I actually like the effects of the folded paper.....)

Wow!
Certainly does looks like an out-take from that Playboy shoot.
Makes me wonder if there might be even more cover art inside that CD casing....
Thank you!:flower: I love any image of Veruschka that comes along.

You're very welcome atooomic!
I'm so glad that people like them. I was a bit nervous at first to post them because she really isn't wearing "fashion" but she is, after all, the ORIGINAL super-model!
(Aw, come on guys, you KNOW she is!)

Here's three with more to follow as I dig them out.

Love her work with Rubatelli, it really caught the spirit of the time back then - or at least as I imagine the late 60ies and early 70ies to be.
