who said we need another poly? this is fashion we need something new not just copies![]()
Exactly my point. And a career like Poly's is something that happens not that often and that I don't see happening more often. It's a very special career-pattern which is even far itself from those we know from the supermodels-era.
Viktoriya's career is what a new face can really afford to dream of today if she keeps a realistic approach of it. Working twice with Meisel for a VI cover isn't given to everyone, working with him in several editorials and as many campaign is extremely rare too and Vika proved she can even keep this crazy pace.
Why would she need or would we need her to be another Poly or have such a similar career ? It's great to have big expectations for our favorite models and fight for the aesthetic we're striving for but then this business is like that and I think Viktoriya's very interesting career (on all fronts) is already quite impressive.
Abul, this editorial will always remain quite special to me. It was done at the time she started getting more confident in front of the camera, getting that precious Sasonkina-touch that made her unforgettable and unique mark.

but V. is cute and that L'Officiel editorial is splendid.
And no comparison between the models themselves, rather the career patterns

The playfull-ness, the colours, the styling (I think the wigs only add to the mood in this) and the whole setting (what a brilliant idea with the roundabout!) is simply perfect. And eventhough it's just Vika's lovely profile we get to see: I'm happy she's in this. And of course, hopefully there'll be more shots to see more of her anyway
