i remember seeing a candid photo of madonna circa 1984, in new york, and she had on a keith haring graffiti pencil skirt from this collection.

she wore bras and bustiers as actual tops, or visible under other tops. that's more of an alaia look imo.

i just hate how madonna always gets credit for coming up with the idea of innerwear as outerwear....when it was clearly an idea she adopted after seeing it somewhere else...
