i just send three

here they go

i just want to ask mrs Westwood
*are you still in contact with McLaren?
*do you still stand by your 1980 quote 'sex is fashion'' "ZGmagazine vol.2?
*was punk anything more than a personal project between you and McLaren?

i saw a bbc interview with her years agoo and she said something along the lines of 'without intelligence there can be no taste'...something like that...i'd like her to clarify that for me...oh well...too late... :flower:

i hope i get to see the interview...will they replay it for anyone who misses it?...what do they usually do?...

I sent two questions too. :ninja: Nice questions Lena! :flower:
reveal them igni :P

*Who designers of today do you admire and you think have the potential to be the great ones of tomorrow?

*What do you think of the current state of fashion in which the designers getting attention are the ones who's clothes are vintage rip-offs (Marc Jacobs*), no personality or just plain hyped (Dsquared*)?

*maybe edited

:glare: :ninja:

I sent a question to her too:-
Q.
What do you think of the way the average young British woman dresses today when you see her walking down the high street, and do you think that a fashion designers' constant search for a 'new look' has had a negative effect on what the general public wears, due to the rapid turnover of cheaply made copies attempting to keep up with those latest looks?

Hope all these q's get answered... I'd love to ask her heaps of things. I think she'd have quite honest & forthright views on a great deal of fashion people & looks.

Helena

I'll have to wait for a transcript. I sent a question, too, although I doubt it'll get to her.

I basically asked where does she think today's overhyped, overpriced, esthetically unappealing mainstream fashion end up...

the transcript is already -partially- out, somehow i cannot get the audio/video...

she really looks very old ..even for her age :(

She takes about 10 minutes to answer each question :o so the process is going quite slowly....

photo from showstudio
btw, does anyone following the interview has live audio/video ?

Naomi Campbell, London: Why did you continue to give me your special blockbuster shoes after I fell down the first time, was it that you had faith in me?

Vivienne Westwood: I wanted you to do it again because we had two more shows to do, but I would never have tried to persuade you if I had thought you really didn't want to. I thought you would want to because you looked so beautiful. You just looked so incredible in them. You know, Naomi, I think you're the Aphrodite of the modern world and the walk of century. n  This and the last. Remember, we gave you a stick, which you nobly accepted and then held it, and then flourished it a chest-height, demonstrating that you did not need it. The fall was spectacular. Your fall was better than an animal that's just been killed, because although it was physically natural, it was also artificial. Civilisation is artificial, not natural. Fashion is part of civilisation. What I have faith in is your heroic pride.

odd questions and odd answers... :ninja:

she seems to speak a language of her own at times...

that namoi campbell thing was pretty funny though...lena :flower:
