Vlada Roslyakova

She is literally glowing in those pics, now i understand why superFashion loved her the most at Dior :crush:

oh thanks :flower:

The dress AND the makeup are outstanding, even for Vlada

I miss Christian Lacroix!! :(:(
He wasn't my favorite designer, but I fell in love with some of his work! And Vlada was his muse, I'm so proud of that! ....he too had fallen under her charm and understood her potential...he had honoured her like no other designer has ever done...
She has been the face of his Absynthe perfume, the face of his advertisements, and his bride for Haute-Couture seasons for spring 2008, fall 2008, spring 2009 and fall 2009 (his last HC show) in a row!
I'd love to read an interview about him talking of Vlada, and everything she inspired him
!

^what happened to him, if i could ask that in this thread? i would love to know a designer who was inspired by vlada so much

bankruptcy...his collections weren't selling enough, and finally no one wanted to buy the brand.

French Couturier Christian Lacroix Goes Bankrupt

Published: May 30, 2009

" The famous French fashion house of Christian Lacroix announced this week that it files for voluntary bankruptcy in order to protect the company from creditors. Recession and the current financial crisis are being blamed for the one of France's biggest names financial trouble.
[...]
Haute couture, the basis of Christian Lacroix's operation, will never be able to make the kind of profit that perfume, accessories and ready-to-wear fashion make, and this turns out to be a major reason for the label's demise. While prices for dresses haute coutute often climb up to thousands of dollars, in reality there are very few pieces that are actually being sold. Unlike Chanel, christian Dior and Armani, which have a long ago created their bestselling perfumes and accessories, Christian Lacroix has continued to rely on its gorgeous, but very expensive dresses."

She sometimes looks so old for her age. The 7th pic is just scary.

lol true:blink:
although i think most of that can be blamed on her natural, ever-present bags under the eyes, and i'm sure that the fatigue from a sometimes almost 24/7 career doesn't help either^_^

^Her neck looks kind of worse than her face there. She should take better are of herself. A hectic schedule sure plays it's part but others have to deal with them as well.

I am sure she is suffering more than other models. But i like her even when she looks extremely tired as here at Anna Sui:

I find neither of these looks very attractive, tbh. To me she looks best with little to no make up but a little bit of moisturizer doesn't hurt either.
