Vlada Roslyakova

^Possibly.

Another reason why she hasn't been doing as well as we'd have liked in Milan is because there's a serious brunette trend that's going on. Apparently even Daphne Groeneveld - who's at the peak of her runway career - isn't getting booked as she's a blonde.

Anyway, there's still Paris and Dior to look forward to, and possibly even Vuitton.

I know when i read it, i felt the same way when i knew Olivier was out of Nina Ricci, or the last Christian lacroix collection, all the designers that support her somehow change and then she's not working with the house anymore :( Hopefully Jil Sander likes her and still cast her.

About her performance in Milan, i feel like tastes have changed, and the doll-face model look it's not wanted anymore, for example i don't think she would've suit the Prada or Versace make-up of this season, by blumarine i'm really suprise. I also tend not to compare her with others, because most of the models that started with her are not longer working, except for Natasha which it's a special case, because she's going to the path to become the next Supermodel. And Kasia and magdalena started 3 seasons after she debuted.

All i hope is a suprise, i love her surprises like the Swarovski Campaign.

True, that. They seem to be really into girls with sharp cheekbones, longish faces, long noses - think Daria Strokous. Even well-established models like Jac and Frida aren't walking as many shows as they used to, and a change in the general aesthetic might have a lot to do with it.

I think it's remarkable that she's still doing shows. Other doll-faced models - Stam, Lily Cole, Lily Donaldson, Heather Marks, Trentini, Snejana et al have all but vanished from the runways.

I hope Raf will be the new designer of Dior , since he loves Vlada maybe we'll see her again in this show !
I'm really disappointed by her Milan Fashion week but I agree with Models-Vlada, doll faces models are not more fashionable.. I guess we can hope to see her at Armani and at Dior and possibly Mugler in Paris ^_^

didn't OLGA start the same with VLADA? she's still doing quite good regarding shows…

Olga represents a different aesthetic though, doesn't she? One that appears to be in demand this season.

^ Yes, they have different aesthetics. I think that's why girls like Bette Franke are doing so magnificently recently; even though they started QUITE a while ago, that's the look for right now.

I think Vlada will still be at the Jil Sander shows. I mean she did open Sander's last show for the label during the Fall 2005 season.

Well yeah, but FW05 Vlada is WAY different than FW12 Vlada.

Jil Sander and Christian Dior. She seemed present in those shows for years now.

Interesting then to note that Women Management Milan on their website lists Vlada as having 'light brown' hair. All the others say blonde.

I wonder if we'll see a load of models dyeing their hair darker before next season?
