Wow love that VA is on this Diana Vreeland-esque trip with some of their recent covers. Honestly it’s quite refreshing and somehow doesn’t feel that vintage!
It looks okay. The cropping could have been better. The art direction ruins it.
Vogue Arabia has been throwing out some incredibly Diana Vreeland-esque covers of late, I'm with you. I'm also getting major Donyale Luna vibes from this particular shoot.
Cover #2 of 2:
The first cover is a solid 'No'.
The second cover is reminiscent of Avedon in the 50's. I'm getting China Machado vibes.
Donyale Luna is a new name to me, but I can see her influence here.
I love it, looks very Almodóvar
They really ruined her beautiful face with the make up
That make up needs to go
both are beautiful and glamorous being the first one a tad more dramatic, almost theatrical!
also, love the nod to Ancient Egypt make up. gorgeous.
Both covers are beautiful ❤️
Oooh I really like this, modern yet also vintage. Very well done.
Are we still in this retro vintage phase still? It was cute a year or two ago and now I think it’s tired. It’s been done and done better.
Love both! Giving me 1960's/70's Arabic cinema vibes
