Vogue Australia December 2021 : Lily Collins by Ned Rogers

Does anyone have any information on Ned Rogers? I’ve never heard of him and then this month he’s done Vogue Greece and Australia? I like both too!

Thank you in advance if so
He has been working behind-the-scenes in the industry for a number of years now, most notably as an assistant to Steven Meisel where he no doubt made a number of significant connections, which would explain his seemingly sudden emergence this year with such little work to his name.

His editorial with Daria Strokous in Puss Puss Magazine earlier this year was quite well done, however time will tell if he has any staying power.

Oh wow! So he’s learnt from the best. I must say, I’m enjoying what I’ve seen. His shoots with Lily and Jessica were gorgeous!

She reminds me so much of Amanda Ware the winner of Australia's next top model cycle 6 in these editorial shots. Lovely :)) I love ''Emily in Paris'' can't wait for season 2 !!!

Knowing about his history as Meisel's assistant, you can definitely see the influence in each and every shot of Lily's editorial. Not bad! I dislike the styling.

He was Meisel assistant? I was dying to know who this guy is . From nowhere shooting to vogue covers in a month

I watched "Emily in Paris" in a constant state of exasperation. Eye-rolling abounded. Even for unapologetic escapism, the plot was too predictable, the characters too flat, the Paris too overromantized, even for a highly overromantizable city. The fact that I was also watching "Plan Cœur" at the time didn't help: the métro-boulot-dodo spirit of the show hit home, while Emily's Paris felt like misconstrued tourism. I appreciated Lily, though. She was the one good thing about the show.

The same can be said about this cover and editorial. Far from my intention to underestimate the team effort going into it. Yet, Lily makes it all come together, and keeps it that way. She is versatile, expressive, knows how to pose. Clothes look believable on her, no matter how outlandish. Be it in a magazine or onscreen, she sells the story. Not many actors could pull off this photo shoot, let alone Emily. Lily has that rare quality. Seeing her here makes me want to watch one more season of a show I didn't love. Which proves that Vogue Australia is doing something right.

Could've been the cover of Allure during the 90s and early 00s! A real beautiful shot of Lily Collins, love the colouring, the beauty styling and the layout of the cover - everything just works and it's the best cover of Vogue Australia I've came across in months.
