Hmm, the font, the dress, the nail polish and her eyes all having the same color makes this look more like an amateur painting than a fashion cover, haha. It looks kind of nice but very bland at the same time.

I actually like this. I love the unexpected model choice (yay Kirstie Clements), the color scheme, the dress and the pose. The only thing that bothers me is the way the texts are placed and the fonts.

I don't like it. Nice to see Julia, but the colours are too wack.

very happy for julia but the covers not my taste indeed

looks so amateur, hate the font and also her hair

The text placement is so random. There's nothing interesting to see on the cover - the hair is completely ugly too.

I love the shot, the unexpected model choice, the color scheme and the effort BUT the text kind of ruined it for me. It looked like a HIGH STREET supplement

Some people have said the model choice is unexpected. I diasgree. Julia has been featured in VA in a number of issues over the past year or so, plus she's an Aussie model making it big overseas. That means she was pretty certain to get a cover sooner or later. That's the one thing I can't fault about Clements: tonnes of model covers and support of home grown talent.

The cover just seems to be trying too hard to young and cool. Which is weird, because VA contents are more on the conservative side. I think VA has a mjor problem in this respect: they have no idea who their reader is. Are they young or older, cool and alternative or more mainstream? There seems to be a major disjoint between the covers and the contents.

I wouldn't have said this better myself, I sooo agree 100% with you and in the end the cover looks more amateur than edgy cool or young.

However I'm excited to read the article about Kristy Hinze

I don't like the colors and the font. Great for Julia she got a cover but it didn't turn out well.

Is it Gucci F/W `11? Or a different color of the Gucci S/S `11 dress? ^

The cover is all wrong. There's nothing in it that pleases me.

It looks more like a supplement than a main cover. Not feeling it. It looks so random.
