Well, that's not true... at VI under Franca, some specific covers were given to specific designers that wasn't a coincidence, and that's well known, of course there is a filter to keep the level high, but let's remember in the end it's a business it doesn't matter how much we want to see the artistic side of it, we cannot forget the other part. And i think that's ok in the end the magazine needs to survive and make profits. Of course if the outcome is not that good that is the real problem bc of course under Franca the creativity and editorial vision wasn't compromised,but it has to be done in a certain way to make it work.The three covers were definitely necessary business-wise. She’s wearing Valentino, Prada and Armani on the covers, so it means that each brand paid a substantial amount for Vogue to have those looks on the cover. Otherwise we wouldn’t even have a magazine. Things are not what they used to be, folks! 🥲
