Vogue China September 2022 by Solve Sundsbo

I love the weirdness of the cover... in a sea of blandess, it really stands out imo

There's a couple of portraits within the story that stood out to me, the rest I'm not really fond of. The cover in particular is quite bad in my opinion, you need a good composition to successfully pull off a group cover, and this one is not it. The alternative solo covers feel too empty or perhaps if the text wasn't black, I would've preferred for those portraits to be zoomed in a bit so there's less space all around the models.

Overall not impressed. VC's venture into futurism never quite appealed to me as an aesthetic.

I have no problem with this, and I really love it. I think the shoot could have been consistent, but its good to see Vogue China finally embracing some creativity as the hearst brands have been surpassing it for a long time. Also I thought Vogue China Plus was for something like this, but hey the more the merrier.

WOW WOW WOW !!! Yessssssss from the cover, to the editorial, to the concept, to the 3D technology + mixing with video and sounds = groundbreaking and super cool ! I say YES 100%. This is the Vogue I want to see.

Much prefer the cover when it isn't moving, it looks clean and festive with all the gold happening - and I like the positioning of the two models on the main cover after all. Could've done without the fold-out.

the cover looks a little WEIRD actually, both the layout and the composition are WEIRD. The main story is good, but have already seen it from Solve Sundsbo many times. so, 70/100 for me.

Are u guys being serious?
This cover looks HIDEOUS to me
Awkward posing, chunky outfits and my dear god, those gold is daggering my eyes. we need some color balance pls.

If one of the ideas was well-explored throughout, then it'd be a win. This looks like a CSM graduate brain fart portfolio.

Solve still so desperate to be Nick Knight, even after all these years LOL

Solid effort still. At least he’s not restrained to the banality of his Western outputs. He is best admittedly, trying to keep up with Nick. The story is a tad too bloated with too many photographic styles crammed in, resulting in a directionless mess. But a beautiful mess nonetheless, worthy of Vogue. And when stacked next to the hilariously subpar September American Vogue cover, with its midwestern-mall budget glamour shot aesthetic and bodybuilding pose, it’s not even a fair comparison which one at least exudes Vogue.

The cover and editorial reminds me more of Nick Knight than Sundsbo to be honest
