Vogue España March 2024 : Lila Moss by Elizaveta Porodina

I find it funny to see the delulu trend written on the cover:rofl: .
Maybe the editors at Vogue España were delusional thinking putting Lila Moss on the cover would make it interesting.

where's her right arm? i like the direction of the spread, but it would've been better with a different model.

lila doesn't work here. it feels forced and miscasted. wasted editorial smh

My library's digital copy is showing 228 pages.

At the front of the issue, there's an editorial with Nyagua Ruea, shot by Lala Serrano, UN REFUGIO EN EL NORTE, then the fashion section reprints some images from a recent Scott Trindle editorial with Sora Choi and América González.

The main editorial section opens with the cover story, then a reprint of some of the Miuccia Prada/Gigi content from US Vogue, then a reprint of the Doutzen/Liya story from UK Vogue mixed in with the women-designing-women portfolio from US Vogue (two reprinted blended as one!), then a reprint of Adut's editorial by Campbell Addy from UK Vogue,. There's also Devyn Garcia by Theo Liu, and Emily Ratajkowski by Larissa Hofmann. Liu Wen is in an Op Art inspired editorial by JM Leclerc. The Delphine Arnault feature is in there too.

It feels like a lot of content from US Vogue has been reprinted this month, instead of the entire section being a cut-and-paste of stories first seen in UK Vogue. There's a lot in here I haven't seen (yet) in UK Vogue.

Out of every edition of Vogue, it appears Spanish Vogue is having the most solid start to the year. Karolina Spakowski, Penélope Cruz and now Lila Moss. I'm starting to become more and more a fan of Elizaveta Porodina's work and I think the Mugler on the cover has been captured wonderfully. The colours are lovely, and it's a strong and visually-arresting cover overall.

This forum is no different than the late aughts. 🤣 Anyone else modelling, and these shots would be heralded and adored.

She'll either get better, or she won't -- but after the Coco Rocha and Bella Hadid hate, can we just... stop assuming every trendy/new model is bad and embrace the art, at least? Also, she kills a lot of these shots, which anyone can admit without actually pronouncing their undying love of Lila at the same time.

Quite have to agree with some points there. And, yes, with some other model, it would have been different and many would have adored it. Another model would have put more "soul" to it maybe? Lila, with all respect due, is relying on her last name solely or mostly. Her modelling skills are rather limited, well like a Coco Rocha, actually. But Coco had her signature style, that I didn't like but that's a matter of personal taste. At least she had that, she had that trademark of hers and it was up to the viewer to embrace it or not. Bella Hadid didn't make it to the top "the regular way" but she proved again and again she was able to bring something of her own to the table, in almost every single editorial she was involved in. Lila is just cute as a button, like many people, like the woman from the supermaket next door and the other one from the supermarket a few miles further in the same street. That doesn't make her a great model. That doesn't make me feel those pictures are horrible on the other hand too.

PS: you forgot to mention Agyness Deyn and her haters. She got her whole lot of haters back in the day too. And saw some people here rejoicing when she appeared on some runway this season! Perhaps in ten years from now, there will be nostalgic minds vouching for Lila, eyes-closed, once she'll be out of tune and away from dubious spotlights.

Lila is a pretty girl who seems to have good manners, which is a great thing in life. She's still young, her face could change over the years ahead. I don't mind seeing a little bit of her, she comes across as very positive.

But there are plenty of 'connected' sons and daughters that have been sold to the public as models over the years, and we're under no obligation to buy what they're selling.

I wish we could leave all this nepo blaming behind us already. There's always been nepo babies and there will always be nepo babies, just get over it.

Well, you don't chose your parents... so, basically I have no problem with the fact a model has famous names in her ancestry. And nepotism has always happened, not just in fashion. From politics to agriculture, every business is affected by nepotism every now and then (or rather often, I'd say).

But while it doesn't matter to me when the model is talented, skilled, blessed by an outstanding face or whatever other quality, I'm always floored by those who only rely on their last name or parents or connections to get top spots in fashion. I know it will happen again but it's not a reason to get used to it...
