Vogue España May 2023 : Emily Ratajkowski by Brett Llyod

Somebody lied to her several times and told her that she was fly, hot and sexy and beautiful and she's nothing like that on the cover. Trying to be fierce but ended up looking like a drag.

Bless you for this!

I want to like it, but I'm just not convinced. At least this is probably one of the very few Vogue covers since the European Conde Nast restructuring where Vogue Spain actually feels Spanish to me. That being said, Emily just has no business selling me this. I find it amazing that despite a hot body, she just doesn't exude any kind of sensuality here (or in general). Not sure if it's a lack of skill or trying, but her only Vogue Spain cover should have been the one 6 years ago.

The background is perfect to celebrate of the mag's anniversary, only than Emily lacks emotions on her pose when she's front of camera.

i dont get it. If they had to put dolce on the cover for advertising reasons they couldve picked better dresses. Who is wearing this in Spain in the Summer?

This is more spaniard to me.

^a black dress is what women wear for Holy Week and other festivities in June. They also wear a sort of black lace veil (called mantilla) but here to make it more fashion they used a scarf.

Celebrating 35 years? This issue better be full of the right sort of reprints.

I like it. For once, she actually looks like a model. When I see girls like Emily, Newton immediately comes to my mind. I miss him greatly. He was a master at mixing high fashion with sex and vulgarity. Would love to see Ratajkowski photographed by Newton in bright Spanish sun.
