The monthly reprints and bad art direction have ruined this magazine. It is hard to believe it was once Vogue Paris.I am so put off by the lifeless cover that I've not got much interest in going through the rest of the issue.
My library's digital copy is showing 194 pages, actual page count probably closer to 190. Inside front cover ad is Rolex.
At the front of the issue, Miss Vogue is Miss Moss - this feature with Lila Moss is called that - shot by Pablo Saez, followed by an accessories edit that uses crockery and metal cans.
The actual editorial section opens with the cover story (you could find better in French Elle), followed by the Jacquemus-at-home reprint, the Once Upon A Time In America reprint (the Norman Jean Roy story isn't called that in US Vogue, but every other edition seems to be renaming it as such), the Charlotte Wales reprint from UK Vogue, the Raquel Z pottery reprint, and that's it.
If you've seen any other edition, you've seen most of the contents, and that cover story is on the level of wet kitchen roll.
Vogue Paris has been dead for 4 years. We must accept it and move on. 😔If Vogue Paris can't keep its voice, no other Vogue can.
The next one will change it back. No, I mean quite literally... it's Vogue France! Not Vogue Paris! It's just not the same magazine. I truly don't think we can act like it's the same magazine that it used to be, because it's not.
The pendulum always swings back. A name isn't the end all here. Hedi's out 1 minute and everyone is talking about the return of the accent. I'm more concerned about the actual content.
