Vogue France September 2022 : Kate Moss by Carlijn Jacobs

She looks washed out but I don’t hate it, maybe I just like Kate.

Not VF having to share their cover story too, Edward is truly greedy.

I hate the harsh lighting and the spotlight, they are not flattering.

Yeah I hate the lighting too, it took away all the details and textures of her face/skin, which is kinda the point I guess?

I love the faded 70's glamour vibe.
Her expression, and pose are perfect for this.
Also, I don't want to hear anyone here critiquing the use of photoshop, for anything,
after the orgy of praise heaped on UK Vogue, for it's September digital edition.:ermm:

The cover lacks of emotion i think....the layout is ok but that's it...

Why Photoshop that hard and make the hair that crunchy?

That harsh lighting is making her skin look dry as hell. And with Linda's Vogue UK cover, we have yet another blurred cover.

I'll need to refer back to UK Vogue and read what's being said about Kate Moss launching a beauty and wellness brand.

This is the best Vogue cover since the France is written on the cover

at least represents French glamour. It's a nice picture, works good for a fashion title as Vogue.

Kate Moss' previous Vogue Paris covers were all spectacular. Those covers were some of the strongest and most dynamic fashion images created of all time. Even though we complained at the time, in retrospect, those images were quite extraordinary.

This is so depressing in comparison. Carlijn Jacobs is an okay photographer I guess, but somehow this feels very underwhelming? That muted and depressing colour palette isn't helping.

Not very much at all it turns out. The flimsy one page write up on it was laughable. I did enjoy that she sees the irony in launching it however, and admits her body was in fact ‘f*cked up’

This VF is starting to take its toll on my mental health…

When you have no taste, no « edgy sense», no idea, no DNA, zero point of view, well Kate Moss is there for you… This magazine is lost… (like all the others conde nast tittle…)

Not very thrilling, as "usual". And I don't have high hopes for the other contents between stories that are way too short (or too boring) and the reprints...
