I think Toni and pastels and closeup sound like a great idea but in execution, this is what happens, it looks like a screenshot from The Brady Bunch or something 70s like that, retro in a depressing way.
Oh I don't know about this one at all. I get what they were trying to achieve, but they didn't quite pull it off.
No question Toni has one of the most beautiful faces around right now, but they just plastered too much make-up on her this time. Shame.
Vogue Germany needs more Knoepfel & Indlekofer and Miles Aldridge and much, much, much less Alexi Lubomirski. This has got to be one of the most boring main editorials I've seen this year. There's no emotion and there's nothing appealing or captivating about any of these shots - it's just dull and boring. Major letdown yet again.
^i totally agree. i quite like the ed, it's nothing special per se, but i think the retro look is well executed and toni suits the style perfectly.
still, i don't get why they use lubomirski so excessively, there are so many young and talented (german) photographers.

thank you! both eds are really safe conceptually, but surprisingly i really love them nevertheless. nice to see liu. the styling in toni's ed is so much better than on the cover, the last picture would have made a much better cover.
