I'm always a nostalgic but the work she did in the 90's guarantees her a livelong pass to Supermodelness. Correct me wrong but no other person has had both Vogue UK and US September covers simultaneously and added a Harper's US cover on top that.
Who told? Tiktok gurus?
And yet, here we are, honey.Honey, Nadja is not a Supermodel.

Cindy catching strays unprovokedIf “Supermodel” is measured by how many consumer trash one slaps one’s name on (workout videos/JC Penny collab/Pepsi) and how many millions of calendars/posters one sells to 13yo boys, then Cindy and Claudia are absolutely the undisputed superist of Supers LMFAO
Nadja was the insider’s Super. She had the prestige of that much coveted, sought after status of always being associated with the coolest and most exclusive of high fashion standings.
Growing up in the 90s, there were models that were cool and models that may have been household names that even grandmums from Wisconsin knew but were very uncool since they were hustling the most mundane consumer products (Cindy). Nadja was always the cool one: She was so versatile, even a chameleon-- and she was always walking for the designers we adored and being shot by the photographers we obsessed over (…and she wasn’t Cindy).
Maybe she wasn’t what the masses considered a “Super” and that’s never a bad thing since appealing to the masses is appealing to the lowest of common denominators (Cindy). Nadja, like Yasmeen and Christy, remained concentrated high fashion and never touched any of the cheap stuff (like Cindy). Nadja was an absolute Super to us 90s kids and remains one to us in 2025 (unlike Cindy who’s got Kaia to ride the coattail of in 2025).
(BTW, all b!tchfest stanning aside, "Supermodel" is such a cringe term. I can only imagine these women desperately restraining from rolling their eyes to the back of their heads whenever someone says that to them.)
